Urgently Looking For Sr. Big Data Engineer (Solid Java Development Exp// Brighton, MA (Remote until Covid)// Global Atlantic Role: Sr. Big Data Engineer (Solid Java Development Exp Location: Brighton, MA (Remote until Covid) Duration: 6-12 Months Client: Global Atlantic Interview: Phone/ WebEx (No Proxy) MUST HAVE: Scala, Spark, Java & SQL Responsibilities: Provide software development and maintenance support for projects working with the Business Unit and the Operations Support department Requirements gathering, elicitation by interacting with business Responsible for implementing IT/Business projects Supports all phases of Development leading to implementation Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project and multiple projects. Create or contribute to technical project documentation Excellent communication skills Experience Requirements: 5 years software development experience: Java Technologies: Proficiency in Java 4 or later, scripting, J2EE, Webservices Experience in Tomcat, WebLogic Strong knowledge and experience in SQL Prefer knowledge in insurance domain Extensive use of a Java script toolkit (Dojo a plus) Experience with a web framework (Spring, Spring MVC a plus , Java Application server's (WebLogic/WebSphere/Tomcat framework), Struts Experience with UNIX (AIX preferred) Experience with Shell scripting Big Data related: Experience in Hadoop, Hive HQL, Spark Experience in oozie scheduling. Experience in Ingestion process to Hdfs Experience in handling different types of Hadoop file formats.
