Title: Technical Team Lead Length: 6 month contract to hire Location: Remote (EST or CST required) Technical Leader with primary responsibility for assisting management in the establishment of technical st***gic directions through architecture of software development and vendor integrations. Works closely with enterprise and data architecture along with lead technical staff to assess the impact of technology solutions. Works and leads other staff members to ensure quality and successful execution of tasks necessary to achieve the st***gic direction. Serves as software architecture and engineering subject matter expert and consultant across all of Technology. Is sought out as a technology leader across organization. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Diagnose, resolve and fix complex problems that may involve several technology disciplines within the software development environment. Primary software architect for an application area(s)/division or group. Primary software architect for the hardware infrastructure utilization. Establish standards and processes for the department. Demonstrates and provides technical and professional leadership and guidance to staff members. Imparts technical skills to staff members. Consults with both internal and external technical project teams to recommend appropriate solutions and directions within the software development environment. Provides leadership and active participation in proactive analysis of planned changes to the application(s) or product to ensure quality and system availability. Coordinate, understand and/or track the implementation of all systems software products. Assist and translates business needs into resource requirements and planning Identifies existing and potential application management problems (including but not limited to system performance, storage management, disaster planning, etc.) Researches latest software technologies and determines best fits for our environment Establish and lead forums or meetings that focus on the architectural direction of the applications/product. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 5 years of application and system software experience. 2 years of experience leading a software development team. In-depth knowledge of a variety of application platforms and technologies (including but not limited to web, distributed, integration, mainframe, etc.). In-depth knowledge of hardware architecture. In-depth knowledge of data storage capabilities and environments. Strong diagnostic and analytical skills. Highly motivated and capable of working independently without management intervention. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Superior analytical abilities. Presentation skills (creating as well as delivering). Ability to manage large-scale projects spanning several teams. Software application development background.
